Daily One Inch Button - Baked Beeeeeeeans

Take a guess at what Vampire Bear's favourite food is - can you guess it? Baked beeeeeeeeeeeeeans! That's how he says it, anyhow. He gets pretty darn excited about those baked beans. He says that they are full of protein and are good for you - so eat them lots.

One day we will all look back at this and laugh. We preordered GTA IV and like soldiers, lined up to get it at midnight. We ran home and installed and waited a good seven and a half minutes and then after the beautiful opening sequence, got not too far into the game and saw it just freeze. Over and over again we tried to play but our hearts and games were frozen. We will one day be able to wear these buttons and have a good giggle. Sad today, somewhat amused tomorrow. Hopefully.

Daily One Inch Button - MiniDisc Player / Recorder

I took a course in the history of Jewish art when I was in college, and there was always the same student in the very front row with a MiniDisc recorder, getting every single lecture in pristine digital format. I was quite impressed at the time and obviously still remain so since the memory is quite firm all these years later. This is one happy MD recorder.

Daily One Inch Button - Vampire Bear Shh!

Vampire Bear has a little secret for you. Actually this is a reference to the first lesson in his new series, Learn To Read Hebrew with Vampire Bear. The first letter of the Hebrew alphabet has no sound associated with it so... shh!

Daily One Inch Button - Bruce Lee

He was a great man; not only phenomenally gifted physically, in that he used his body as a weapon better than any of the crude bits of metal that his adversaries wielded, but he was a tremendous actor as well. His fists flew true in films such as Enter The Dragon, Big Boss, Fist of Fury, and Way of the Dragon. Bruce is sorely missed by his fans - you can wear this button with honor knowing you are one of his many true admirers.

Daily One Inch Button - California Roll

Look at that lovely set of sushi. They're lined up like soldiers, ready to go onto your plate. I don't know about you but I love a well made California roll. Curiously enough, the first time I had them was when I visited California for the first time as a kid. I wonder if anyone has ever had a contest to see how many they could fit in their mouth at the same time.

Daily One Inch Button - Max Branning

With this button we come to a (for now) end to our EastEnders buttons. What's coming next week? Who knows? I'm personally keen on our Branning trilogy - the father, the son, and the woman that tried to have them both. A little creepy, you say? That's quality television, I tell you.

Daily One Inch Button - Jukebox Hero!

The last time I saw a jukebox, it was internet capable, downloading new tracks from a server and having a capacity of tens of thousands of songs - quite a change from the jukeboxes depicted on Happy Days, what with their vinyl records and a capacity of maybe a hundred songs tops.

Daily One Inch Button - Vampire Bear Hello!

If this button image looks familiar, it should - it's darling little Vampire Bear waving hello to one and all as an introduction to his course: "Learn to Read Hebrew with Vampire Bear". He's such a friendly teacher and wants to help you through printable download and video. Thanks for your help, VB!

Daily One Inch Button - Charlie Chaplin

The lovable scamp. In the early days of film he was the go-to man for your movies especially if you wanted your hero to be the everyman, the tramp - a character he developed over many years that made its debut in 1914 in the film Kid Auto Races at Venice. He even had the courage to ridicule Hitler in a time when many countries were trembling under his wrath.

Daily One Inch Button - Shrimp Sushi

No, this isn't Shrimpy Sushi - that would end up with one very full bear and no rice to boot. This is none other than the delectable shrimp sushi that people who don't keep kosher enjoy in droves. Try not to get any of his tail in your mouth, I hear that's not exactly the tastiest thing in the world. Hmm.

Daily One Inch Button - Stop Wasting Our Tax Dollars

Every year we send in our income tax forms - electronically or otherwise. Every year our tax dollars seem to be getting flushed down the toilet in a never ending war that should have never been started. When President Obama is in office iy"H he will make sure that we put an end to this war and hopefully make sure that the people that irresponsibly put us up to it are taken to task as well. That's guilty! Guilty, guilty, guilty!

Daily One Inch Button - Gramophone

If you'd like, you can pretend there's a happy dog sitting right next to that gramophone. He's only too happy to play you some Dizzy Gilepsie but if you have "Remain In Light" on vinyl he'll play that for you as well. Actually, he's one of the only ways to play Pearl Jam's annual Holiday single - they're only on vinyl. I should know - 10 club for life, yo.

Daily One Inch Button - Vampire Bear in Bed

Now that there is one handsome bear. I know I've said it a lot. I also said that there was going to be a posting on Ask Vampire Bear this week explaining why VB was chopping wood and there was no such post. Well that's why I added the iy"H. I'm going to give a little explanation now. In the very near future - again, iy"H, Vampire Bear is going to start free lessons in reading Hebrew. Every week will have a lesson you can print out along with a video that helps explain the lesson. Look forward to it soon. This, meanwhile, is from one of the lessons - Vampire Bear likes to wear an eye mask at night. What a sweet little bear.

Daily One Inch Button - Marilyn Monroe

Joe DiMaggio, Arthur Miller, John F. Kennedy Jr., and Hugh Hefner - what did they all have in common? Marilyn Monroe is the common factor that links the four men. Two married her, one was linked by a scandalous affair, and one man is still famous for a magazine that got its start by publishing photographs of her. Even today people die emulating her way of life - Anna Nicole Smith, anyone? The original Playboy dreamgirl has many admirers even now, nearly 50 years after her untimely passing.

Daily One Inch Button - Bradley

Who could possibly forget the day that dear Bradley came to Walford? From the very beginning he has had some interesting things happen to him right up until he had his reunion with his long absent father. Who would have known that his father would end up being the man his wife would choose to sleep with and fool around with after a pretty nasty row? We can only hope things go better for Bradley and Stacey.

Daily One Inch Button - Boom Box

When I was a kid my brother had a boombox similar to this one, only that it was even more awesome since it had two tape decks. What that meant was that we could copy the cool mixtapes that we made - okay, that he made - and hand them out like the treasures that they were. Now you have sites like muxtape that do most of the work for you. The other awesome thing about having a boombox was that you could share your awesome music with the world. That simultaneously was the non-awesome thing about the boombox - not everyone shared your taste. Well, it was worth a try.

Daily One Inch Button - Vampire Bear Sawing Wood!

What is that handsome little bear up to now? He seems to be sawing a large log. Why would little Vampire Bear feel the need to saw a log? Is he living on a farm now, or is the farm just a vacation home? You'll find out all the details next week - at his web site, ask vampire bear - iy"H. Look forward to that next week - there will be lots of fun to be had. Meanwhile, he's just an adorable bear having fun on a farm!

Daily One Inch Button - River Phoenix

Oh, River Phoenix. I loved you in "Stand By Me." I remember the day you were suddenly gone, taken away way too early. You were delightful in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." Why did it have to end the way it did - who would have thought you would even think of using something called a "speedball?" We miss you.

Daily One Inch Button - Stacey Slater

Love her or hate her, Stacey is an incredible woman. People rooted for her and Bradley to make it and they did - and then of course it had to come out that she was sleeping with his father. Some people might say, "Can you blame him?" I say yes, I can blame him. That was just wrong.
