Daily One Inch Button - short vacation

Well it looks like we're off for a few days - and have been off. Worry not! We shall return on the 11th of December. :)

Daily One Inch Button - I Buy Handmade!

What are your plans for gift buying this winter holiday season? I don't know about you but I'm planning on getting a lot of gifts that people put a lot of hard work into making courtesy of awesome sites like etsy, not to mention going to local craft events like i heart rummage. (The fact that Matsubara sensei and I will be selling there is entirely a bonus, mind you...) You can show that you support your hard working craftsfolk by wearing this button - you also buy handmade, right?

Daily One Inch Button - Why I Was Grateful This Thanksgiving

It's the day after Thanksgiving, and I have to say that one of the things I'm most grateful for right now is the fact that our man Barack Obama is in the lead in Iowa - but there's always room for a better lead. Pick up a button or ten and show the world you support the only person on the blue team that can proudly say he was against entering Iraq from way back in 2002. Barack the vote!

Daily One Inch Button - Pyu Pyu 3 - Playtime!

Aw, look at that cute little pyu pyu. Or that other one! These pyu pyus just want to have some fun. Looks like someone's entertaining them - is it you? You don't want to have restless pyu pyus running around wild, I promise.

Daily One Inch Buton - You Know You Love Me

I'd really like to think that I'm not the only guy that has lived to see thirty candles on his birthday cake that is either reading and / or viewing that which is Gossip Girl. Realistically, I surmise that I probably am in the minority in terms of the reading audience. That's okay. This button is for everyone who loves the book or show or just wants to tell the world "you know you love me..."

Daily One Inch Button - Cute Desktop

When I was a kid I had a computer that was a lot like this one. Back when we carried arround data on 5 1/4 inch disks that barely held a megabyte. In high school our computers were like this, though in grade school our computers were Apple II GS. I guess I'm dating myself. Well, who else would? :)

We're Back! (Did you miss us?)

Truth be told, we've been feeling a bit down. Low traffic and a small ad budget makes us a little on the sad side. That's okay because we have been doing a lot of business not online. Remember when Burger King said that custom orders didn't upset them? We feel the same. Here's a recent custom order we did for a dodgeball team.

That's what 150 buttons looks like in a plastic bucket. We collect them from going to Pabla Indian Cuisine - don't worry, they have been properly washed. Reduce, reuse, recycle, we say.

How can we help your custom order come true? For the dodgeball team we designed and printed the buttons and they cost 50 cents each! Nice price for design and printing, I think.

Email one of us for details : gordond or kouichi.matsubara at!

Daily One Inch Button - Pyu Pyu's Life 2

Aw, look at that handsome pyu pyu. It looks like someone's hungry. For all we know, this could be brunch for little pyu pyu. There are more pyu pyus to come!

Daily One Inch Button - Refrigerator

Look at that cute face. You just want to keep your food nice and fresh in there, don't you? You don't see too many refrigerators that want to be a friend but this definitely looks like one. Aw.

Daily One Inch Button - The Kappa

According to Japanese folklore, the Kappa is a sort of river imp that lives in rivers where it awaits potential victims of their pranks. They are remarkably polite, however, and apparently will bow back to you if you bow first. This politeness puts them in peril as they need the water that sits atop their head to sustain good health and often bowing will pour out this water. They can be quite helpful to people once they are befriended.

Daily One Inch Button - Pyu Pyu Series - Morning Time!

This is the inaugural button in the Pyu Pyu series. What's a pyu pyu, you ask? Look at the button, silly - it's a rat. A very cute and adorable sort of rat, the sort that wants to be your very best friend. Wear this button with pride and look forward to more pyu pyu buttons to come out every week. :)

i heart rummage

Today we were at the I heart rummage craft fair at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle. we didn't sell as many buttons as I was hoping to sell but we made a few contacts, some of which are hopefully going to want to order from us in bulk in the future - which would more than make up for it, to say the least.

we were informed that people that come often get a following as it were. the fact that we are going to have new buttons and a better setup next time should be significant. :) we should also be better organized next time.

For everyone who came to the show and are visiting the site for the first time - welcome! We are always working on improving the site and welcome your comments.

Daily One Inch Button - Cholent!

Mmm... cholent. Tasty. Good just about every day of the week but, strangely enough, even better on Shabbos. Seriously.

Daily One Inch Button - Loch Ness Monster Anniversary - Anniversary Week

Nessie! When I was a child I wanted to see you so - and how I tore into those Time-Life books talking all about you. Has it really been 1,442 years since you were first seen? That would make you one really old monster, I guess.

Daily One Inch Button - Viking Program Anniversary

Has it really been 32 years? It really has. Where were you during the Viking program? V is also for victory - our victory during the Viking program, that is! :)

Daily One Inch Button - Anniversary of the CD - Anniversary Week

It was the little silver disc that changed the world. Sure, for some people it meant an aggravating return to stores to re-purchase their Beatles discography... seemingly over and over again. Yet it didn't matter. You didn't have to worry about a record needle scratching your music so that it wouldn't be listenable, or a stray magnet erasing your collection. Did you know that for a long time, Sony received money every time any CD was sold? How we love you, dear little compact disk. Happy 25th.

Daily One Inch Button - Mochi Bunny

Have you heard about the bunnies that make mochi on the moon? Here now for the very first time - a mochi making bunny on a button, for your wearing pleasure.

Daily One Inch Button - Bush - G2G

Do I really need to elaborate?

Seems that GWB is a bit jealous of Karl Rove. The brains behind the operation gets to go out and have some fun now. Don't worry, it will be your turn soon enough. Maybe we can make it sooner - you could always resign...

Ever since he dropped his towel in June of 2006, there have been people who want nothing more than for EJ and Sami to get together. For them, I present to you this button : proclaim that you are an ejami fan.

Daily One Inch Button - General Tso - Chicken!

When I was a kid I used to eat General Tso's chicken whenever I would go to Chinese restaurants. I switched to tofu for awhile but now every time I visit NY I always stop at one of a couple kosher Chinese restaurants. Mmm. Who was General Tso? A chicken, apparently.

Daily One Inch Button - Wind Chime

What does August bring to your mind? The summer dwindles away, the thought of school (or the dread of school for some people) and vacations ending or sometimes just beginning. For me I can't help but think of a glass bell ringing in the wind. Beautiful soft sound...

Daily One Inch Button - Mac and Cheese

Sometimes it really just hits the spot, such as after a long day at the office, or you find out that basically everyone you've ever dated is now happily married. Meanwhile, you have your mac and cheese! :)

Daily One Inch Button - Jackalope

Behold, the beautiful Jackalope. My mother once sent me a postcard with a photograph of a jackalope on it. I thought that it was a real animal. My funny high school days. Tell the world you love jackalopes too with this button.

Daily One Inch Button - The Two Baracks

Yeah, I'm a supporter of the Obama campaign. Love the guy. Thought it would be nice to make a couple of buttons as a tribute to him. Wear them and show everyone you love Obama, too.

Daily One Inch Button - Fried Tofu Since 1600

Have you ever had really good fried tofu? I don't mean the kind that has been cooked in all kinds of sauces and spices - I'm talking about straight-up flour and tofu, fried in oil. You can add your own sauce(s) later. Yum yum. We've added a new glimmering look to the online images so you have a better idea of what the buttons look like in real life. :)
