Daily One Inch Button Rerun: Raw Pink Sushi

Let's take a trip to a sushi restaurant, shall we? You're sitting in front of the conveyor belt, plate ready to receive your delicious sushi. You're not quite sure what you want to eat today but that's okay, because the conveyor belt has a plethora of goodies from which you can make your decision. All of a sudden, you see it: the raw pink shrimp sushi. It's almost as if it's just beaming up at you, wanting you to just snatch it up. All of a sudden, you see someone a little further down from you who looks like he may take it. You sneak a marble out of your pocket and throw it down on the floor where it makes a loud clatter, and by the time your competitor is done realizing what made the sound you already have the raw pink shrimp sushi on your plate. Good going, sneaky sushi loving warrior.

Daily One Inch Button - Vampire Bear Yaaay!

He's Vampire Bear and he's excited about something - maybe about the fact that the office is relocating to the East coast and that is something that is simultaneously a little bit sad and a little bit happy. Maybe he's excited that this week, for the first time ever, his lesson in Hebrew Reading incorporates nothing but real words in the Hebrew language. I would be pretty excited if I were him, personally. If you want to learn how to read Hebrew, check out Learn To Read Hebrew with Vampire Bear!

Daily One Inch Button Rerun - Old TV

Note: For the rest of the month of August, we are going to run classic buttons every weekday except for Thursdays. We are working on a new website that will allow you to see all of the buttons at once on a nice looking page. Whee!

Oh, televisions. In ye old merry times, we would watch things like the moon walk and President Nixon admitting that he was not, in fact, a crook. Okay, so I wasn't alive for either of those monumental events but many people watched them on old televisions like this adorable one here.

Daily One Inch Button Rerun - Lucky Owl

Note: For the rest of the month of August, we are going to run classic buttons every weekday except for Thursdays. We are working on a new website that will allow you to see all of the buttons at once on a nice looking page. Whee!

There is no price you can put on good health. If there were, and this owl really were able to bring you good health, then that price would be exactly one dollar. I don't know about you but that seems like a pretty good deal to me. It doesn't hurt that this is a pretty nice looking owl. Out of all of the buttons we sell at I Heart Rummage and Crafty Wonderland, this is the one that people continue to look at, admire, and purchase every single time without hesitation. Maybe we should have taken some photos of our happy customers so you could see how much they just love the owl button.

Daily One Inch Button Rerun - Maneki Neko - Beckoning Cat

Note: For the rest of the month of August, we are going to run classic buttons every weekday except for Thursdays. We are working on a new website that will allow you to see all of the buttons at once on a nice looking page. Whee!

According to some very interesting sites I have scrutinized, over sixty percent of Maneki Nekos have their left paw raised - the others have their right paw raised. Why does our maneki neko have its right paw raised? Why, indeed, is the cat's paw raised so high?

The reason he is raising his right paw is because by doing so, he attracts money and good fortune - who isn't into that? The height is all about distance - the higher the paw, the greater of a distance his magic will go; if, of course, you do believe in the powers of the maneki neko, that is.

Many men (and women) were and currently are able to walk with this device, which did not necessarily mean that they were or are even now walk men and walk women. I personally was super jealous when my friends got newer models than me with all kinds of fancy functions whereas mine seemed to be older and came from sales of the garage variety. I was actually looking for one earlier today - it has a special function that allows it to record via an internal or external microphone. That's a special kind of tape deck.

Daily One Inch Button - Vampire Bear Shephard

Oh, Vampire Bear - how you care about your farm. You even invited little Shrimpy to help you watch over the sheep. It's a big job but somebody has to do it. Wouldn't you know it - it just so happens that this is a great mnemonic for helping teach people about the letter Shin in the Hebrew aleph bet? It's part of Vampire Bear's great educational series, Learn to Read Hebrew with Vampire Bear! You can learn about reading Hebrew and have lots of fun as well. If wearing cool buttons is your thing, we have the right buttons for you. Where else would you get your buttons?

Daily One Inch Button Rerun - Charles Bronson

Note: For the rest of the month of August, we are going to run classic buttons every weekday except for Thursdays. We are working on a new website that will allow you to see all of the buttons at once on a nice looking page. Whee!

He came from the most humble of backgrounds - he was one of many children, a father from Lithuania and a family that was so destitute that they struggled just to get by. Charles Bronson, it is said, went to Hollywood not because acting seemed glamorous but because he thought it could pay the bills.

Charles changed his given surname to Bronson to appear more American - important in those times of very strict anti-Communist thought. He went from being pretty well known around Europe to starring in the Death Wish series of movies, inspiring people to take up arms and fight their own vigilante battles. He was a great man, and he shall be missed. Wear him on your coat with pride.

Aw, look - he's so happy to see you. You're probably thrilled to see him too after a long day of working hard at the coal mines or the cubicle. Sometimes it's great even just to put your feet in the tub - hot water + soap = good loving feeling.

Daily One Inch Button - Shaved Ice Kakigori

Sometimes when you are in the mood for a cold dessert food, ice cream just won't do it. No, you want something made out of shaved ice, perhaps something that has been sweetened. The good news is that you can find your sweet treat in the form of kakigori, or Japanese sweetened shaved ice. Though sometimes electric machines are used to shave the ice needed for kakigori, in the summer you can find street vendors all over Japan manually shaving big blocks of ice. Kakigori is sometimes served in coffee shops with bean paste and ice cream. Makes me want to have some right now.
