Daily One Inch Button - Laptop

Ah, the humble laptop. I remember when my mother brought a laptop home from work, only it would have never been used on anybody's lap. It weighed a ton, or at least it did to me (I was a child at the time) and it had a really small black and white monitor. I would say it was about five times thicker than the laptop I use nowadays. Even through all that, it was a lot smaller than the desktop computers of the day and so people with business all over the world ran them from place to place; well, maybe "ran" isn't quite the right word considering how heavy they were.

Daily One Inch Button - Jason Voorhees Friday the 13th

Did you know that today is Friday the 13th? Presumably, you looked at a calendar, clock, or even the digital display on your computer at some point in time. The Friday the 13th movies series really frightened me when I was growing up - so why did I keep on going to the theater to watch the movies? This was when movie theaters weren't quite that strict about who was allowed to go into theaters to see "R" rated movies. Somehow the series also got turned into one of the worst video games ever - I completely agree with everything the Angry Video Game Nerd said about it - it does have strong language.

Daily One Inch Button - Vampire Bear Serves Baked Beans

VB opens up a big can of baked beans for Goobie Bear and Shrimpy. They are quite pleased because they love baked beans, albeit not as much as he does. He is chuffed because he gets to tie the idea of opening a can of baked beans to a lesson in learning how to read Hebrew - part of the series Learn to Read Hebrew with Vampire Bear. I'm not sure who is more eager to have some beans, Shrimpy or Goobie Bear. Actually, Shrimpy can just about manage one bean or two before he's pretty full.

Daily One Inch Button - Mallory Keaton

She was the ying to Alex's yang, or the yang to his ying. She couldn't be bothered to take school seriously but she certainly knew how to take shopping at the mall and dating seriously. When I was a kid, going to the mall was an experience unto itself. Now that I'm prematurely old, it is more of a tedious thing to do, to be avoided whenever possible. Oh, to be able to recapture the joy Mallory felt at the mall. Hey, that's funny, you can't spell Mallory without "mall."

Daily One Inch Button - Obama FTW 2008

Senator Obama, we have been with you from the beginning. We have been telling people to Barack the Vote. We had a good reason to be grateful during Thanksgiving. The Iowa Primary made us quite proud. In February we told the world that we had Obama Fever. After last Tuesday when our prediction came true, it was the turning point - the start of something new, if you will. We are in it to win it for Senator Obama. Let's do this right.

Daily One Inch Button - Old TV

Please Note: This was posted on Sunday, June 08. The management of the Daily One Inch Button will be away from computers from Sunday evening until Tuesday evening due to the Jewish holiday of Shavuos.

Oh, televisions. In ye old merry times, we would watch things like the moon walk and President Nixon admitting that he was not, in fact, a crook. Okay, so I wasn't alive for either of those monumental events but many people watched them on old televisions like this adorable one here.

Daily One Inch Button - Lucky Owl

There is no price you can put on good health. If there were, and this owl really were able to bring you good health, then that price would be exactly one dollar. I don't know about you but that seems like a pretty good deal to me. It doesn't hurt that this is a pretty nice looking owl. Out of all of the buttons we sell at I Heart Rummage and Crafty Wonderland, this is the one that people continue to look at, admire, and purchase every single time without hesitation. Maybe we should have taken some photos of our happy customers so you could see how much they just love the owl button.

Daily One Inch Button - RIPHRCC June 03 2008

It was fun, but it's basically over now. To think that the Daily One Inch Button has been rooting for him from the beginning.

Daily One Inch Button - Maneki Neko - Beckoning Cat

According to some very interesting sites I have scrutinized, over sixty percent of Maneki Nekos have their left paw raised - the others have their right paw raised. Why does our maneki neko have its right paw raised? Why, indeed, is the cat's paw raised so high? The reason he is raising his right paw is because by doing so, he attracts money and good fortune - who isn't into that? The height is all about distance - the higher the paw, the greater of a distance his magic will go; if, of course, you do believe in the powers of the maneki neko, that is.
